Both underlying rates are worth a careful read. The homicide figure of 0.5 per 100,000 is reported for the wider state rather than the city, and we derived it from a count and a population, so treat it as an upper bound; it comes in at roughly 0.3 times the median we track. Robbery is recorded at 13.1 per 100,000, also a state-level figure and drawn from police records that undercount, so the real local level is higher. All four governments we track keep Croatia at their lowest advisory level. Each advisory that covers the country flags pickpocketing and scams for travellers.
