Homicide is 0.7 per 100,000, below the median for the cities we track, and robbery is 16 per 100,000. Both figures cover the wider municipality rather than the city, and we calculated the rates ourselves from a count and a population; the robbery number is also police-recorded, so it understates the true level. On the advisories, the governments do not fully agree: the US sets Serbia at its second level, increased caution, while Canada, the UK, and Australia all keep it at their lowest. The US is the more cautious of the four. Each advisory flags pickpocketing and scams for travellers. We hold no walking-alone perception figure for Belgrade.
